Signalled a return to form in 2013 with two wins early in the season, at the Challenge de Madrid in April and June's D+D Real Czech Challenge Open, after recovering from a hand injury suffered in 2012. Was unable to pick up a third victory to seal automatic promotion to The European Tour, and so graduated from the Rankings in 13th place. In 2009 he claimed the 20th and final card from the Challenge Tour Rankings thanks mainly to his maiden victory at the Telenet Trophy. One week after watching his girlfriend Jade Schaeffer make her Ladies European Tour breakthrough at the Hypo Vereinsbank Ladies German Open, he followed her into the winner’s enclosure by birdieing the last two holes at Royal Waterloo GC to win by one stroke. Underwent an operation on his mouth as a baby, and was advised by doctors to take up a non-contact sport after being struck in the face playing handball – the game his father played in the French First Division – so decided to concentrate on golf. Has been a friend of fellow European Tour Member Grégory Havret for longer than he can remember, the pair having grown up together on the fairways of Bussy St Georges Golf Club on the outskirts of Paris. Will now seek to emulate Havret, a three-time European Tour champion. Won twice on the 2006 Alps Tour – at the Open De Mohammedia and the Trophée Maroc Telecom – to earn his place on the Challenge Tour in 2007.
