    A Major Champion, former European Tour Number One, Olympic Gold Medallist and a winner of more than 20 titles worldwide.

    Successfully defended a title for the first time in his career at the 2018 Turkish Airlines Open - his second Rolex Series victory which moved him to the top of the Official World Golf Ranking for the second time, having achieved that career goal for the first time two months previous.

    Had claimed back-to-back titles on the European Tour in 2017 for the first time in his career when he won the WGC-HSBC Champions in China, followed by victory at the Turkish Airlines Open – his first win in a Rolex Series event.

    Other highlights of his glittering career include topping the European Tour money list in 2007, representing Europe in five Ryder Cups - with three wins - a first Major title at the U.S. Open in 2013, and a gold medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro on golf’s return to the Games for the first time since 1904.

    Played in the 1997 Walker Cup and finished tied fourth at The 1998 Open Championship at Royal Birkdale, winning the Silver Medal for Low Amateur, and turning professional the next day.

    Played a season on the Challenge Tour in 1999 and twice graduated from Qualifying School.

    Overtook Sir Nick Faldo as the most decorated Englishman in the history of the PGA TOUR with his tenth victory at the 2019 Farmers Insurance Open, one year after winning the season-long FedEx Cup.

    Was named an MBE in the 2016 New Year Honours and lives in the Bahamas with his wife, Kate, and two children.
