Born in Durban, South Africa, Sabbatini is a six-time winner on the PGA TOUR, his most recent victory coming at the 2011 Honda Classic.

He also won the World Cup with Trevor Immelman for South Africa at Kiawah Island in 2003.

Started playing golf at the age of four but now lives in America.

In December 2018, Sabbatini became a citizen of Slovakia, the home country of his wife and stepson. He represented Slovakia at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, winning the Silver Medal in the Men’s Olympic Golf Competition after a ten under par final round of 61 propelled him up the leaderboard.
