A highly unorthodox swing proved devastatingly effective in 2005 as he won the national Opens of Indonesia, Taiwan and India, plus the Carlsberg Masters Vietnam, en route to topping the Asian Tour Order of Merit.

His victory in the Enjoy Jakarta Standard Chartered Indonesia Open, an event co-sanctioned by The European Tour and the Asian Tour, earned him immediate elevation to European Tour Membership.

Enjoyed an impressive amateur career in the mid-1980s, highlighted in 1987 when he won the amateur championships of Singapore and Thailand as well as the individual and team title in the South East Asian Games.

Began his career on the Staysure Tour in superb fashion, winning the season-ending MCB Tour Championship in just his seventh appearance on the over-50s circuit - setting a new record for the lowest 54-hole score, an 23 under par 193. Won the first event of the 2018 season, the Sharjah Senior Golf Masters presented by Shurooq after a four-hole play-off against Clark Dennis and Peter Fowler.
