Led by the charismatic lead vocalist and guitarist Johnny Borrell, Razorlight reunited in 2020 after a ten year hiatus, having risen to fame with hits such as ‘Golden Touch’ and ‘America’.

They join Jax Jones as the weekend headliners for what promises to be a true festival of golf at the prestigious Wentworth Club, following in the footsteps of previous Slingsby Showstage headliners such as Feeder, Kaiser Chiefs and Simple Minds.

Razorlight will headline on the final day’s play and will begin soon after the final putt drops in the Championship. Tickets are available here and fans are advised to purchase their tickets now to avoid disappointment following unprecedented demand across all DP World Tour events in 2022.

“The BMW PGA Championship has been lucky enough to host some incredible rock acts down the years and to have a world-class band such as Razorlight confirmed for this year is hugely exciting,” said Kit Gartrell, the DP World Tour’s Championship Director for the historic event.

“This event has become a true festival of golf and, with Jax Jones confirmed to headline on Saturday night, along with a host of celebrity names to be announced for our Wednesday Pro-Am, this will be an unmissable event for the whole family.”

Meanwhile, the first group of celebrities has been revealed for the BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-Am, with pop superstar Niall Horan, Hollywood actor Tom Felton and TV personality Vernon Kay joining the already-announced Formula One star Lando Norris in the line-up for the fun-filled curtain-raiser.

The BMW PGA Championship has for many years been a key date in the English sport and social calendar, with its mix of world-class competitive golf action, globally-renowned music acts, celebrity pro-am and a buzzing spectator village.

In the past five years alone, the likes of Feeder, Rudimental, Anne-Marie, Kaiser Chiefs, Mike and the Mechanics, Simple Minds and others have rocked the stage at Wentworth.

Last year saw Clean Bandit (DJ Set & Live Vocalist) and Feeder headline the Slingsby Showstage on Saturday and Sunday evenings respectively, with acoustic acts providing the background music to the weekend’s daytime festivities.

Every year, the BMW PGA Championship attracts tens of thousands of spectators for what is one of the highlights of the British summer, with its mix of world-class golf, live entertainment from internationally-renowned music acts and an unrivalled atmosphere in the vibrant Spectator Village.

The action begins with the Tuesday Practice Day, before the star-studded Celebrity Pro-Am brings together global celebrity superstars and some of golf’s most famous players in a fun-filled curtain raiser to the main event, the BMW PGA Championship, which tees off on Thursday September 8 and runs through to Sunday September 11.

The BMW PGA Championship takes place less than an hour from central London with a range of transport options available. In 2022, BMW Group owners will once again receive preferred on-site parking benefits as per previous years, and Park & Ride will be also available free of charge. Information and location on parking options will be available closer to the event.

Complimentary tickets for those aged 12 years and under are available upon purchase of an Adult ticket.

Following unprecedented demand, The Ballroom premium experience has now sold out across all four tournament days, while the Green on 18 premium experience has limited availability on Wednesday and Thursday.
