First played in 1989 and an ever-present on the DP World Tour schedule since aside from the Covid-19 affected camapign in 2020, the event marks the climax of the European Swing.
In the tournament's history, Martin Kaymer is the only homegrown winner but the likes of Matti Schmid, Marcel Siem and Freddy Schott among others will hope to change that.
Kaymer is one of four Major champions teeing it up, along with Race to Dubai Rankings Delivered by DP World leader Patrick Reed and the American's fellow Masters winners Danny Willett and Sergio Garcia.
Dan Brown, a dual member on the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR, is bidding to become the first player to successfully defend the title.
